The Library Services Chairperson is responsible for two events throughout the school year; the Scholastic Book Fair and Teacher Appreciation Books. The Scholastic Book Fair is a great fundraising event for the Library, and the Chairperson can utilize parent volunteers and students to have a successful fair. The fair runs during the week of Open House, it is easy to set up and to take down. In April, the PTA purchases new library books for Teacher Appreciation Week. These books are prepared for circulation, with a special dedication inside honoring each teacher individually. The chairperson is responsible for passing these books out on the designated day during the week. Decorating the books with ribbons or poems, our students are willing to help! Mt. Pisgah Middle School PTA hosts many events during the school year for parents, faculty and students. We have volunteer opportunities to fit everyone’s schedules, interests and needs. Volunteers find it rewarding to be involved in their child’s school community. Your volunteer work with the school's PTA programs will allow you to share in the experiences of your child.
